PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: use of aromatic compounds as stabilizers to prevent oxidative degradation of proteins, particularly tryptophan, tyrosine or histidine residues； and more specifically, stabilized, pharmaceutically effective formulations of oxidation-sensitive therapeutic agents, and a method of inhibiting oxidation of such therapeutic agents.SOLUTION: The invention relates to pharmaceutical formulations comprising a protein and free methionine in combination with one or more compounds capable of preventing oxidation of aromatic amino acid residues within a protein.
