A smart farm system having load protection and fault preventing functions according to the present invention, in which a plurality of facility driving loads are selectively installed according to a user requirement environment of a cultivation farm, comprises: a current detection unit for detecting a current value applied to the facility driving loads； a load control unit for outputting a control signal to block power supplied to a load if the current value is greater than or equal to a second reference value by comparing the current value detected in the current detection unit with preset first and second reference values； and a blocking unit for blocking power of a load in response to the control signal outputted in the load control unit, wherein the load control unit outputs an on/off control signal of a forward switch or a reverse switch of the blocking unit in order to prevent simultaneous bidirectional control in forward and reverse control of motor driving of the load. According to the present invention, power supplied to a load is blocked by detecting overcurrent of a motor load, thereby protecting the load from the overcurrent.본 발명에 따른 부하 보호 및 고장 방지 기능을 갖는 스마트 팜 시스템은, 재배 농장의 사용자 요구 환경에 맞추어 선택적으로 복수의 시설 구동 부하를 설치하는 스마트 팜 시스템에 있어서, 상기 복수의 시설 구동 부하에 인가되는 전류 값을 검출하는 전류 검출부； 상기 전류 검출부에서 검출된 전류 값을 기설정된 제1 기준치 및 제2 기준치와 비교하여 제2 기준치 이상이면 부하에 공급되는 전원을 차단하도록 제어 신호를 출력하는 부하 제어부； 상기 부하 제어부에서 출력된 제어 신호에 대응하여 부하의 전원을 차단하는 차단부를 포함하고, 상기 부하 제어부는 상기 부하의 모터 구동의 정역 제어에서 동시 양방향 제어를 방지하도록 상기 차단부의 정방향 스위치 또는 역방향 스위치의 온오프 제어 신호를 출력하는 점에 그 특징이 있다.본 발명에 따르면, 모터 부하의 과전류를 감지하여 부하에 공급되는 전원을 차단하여 과전류로부터 부하를 보호할 수 있게 된다.
