PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spool brake device of a double bearing reel, which does not require to reset the extent of a braking force, even when the conditions of fishing are changed in some extent.SOLUTION: A spool brake mechanism 25 is a device for braking a spool, and is equipped with a spool brake unit 40 and a control unit 55.
