PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer gel which has characteristics of both two types of polymers which structure the polymer gel having a network structure, and provide a method of manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: The polymer gel is characterized by that a first polymer and a second polymer form the network structure by cross-linking between polymers of different types from each other. In the method of manufacturing the polymer gel, the first polymer and a first monomer having a polymer reaction group reacting with the first polymer and a polymerization reaction group are reacted, and the polymerization reaction group is introduced in the first polymer to obtain the first polymer having the polymerization reaction group. Then, in the presence of the first polymer having the polymerization reaction group, a second monomer, which has a functional group copolymerizable with the polymerization reaction group, is copolymerized. Thereby, a mutual cross-linking network structure is formed between the second polymer formed of the second monomer, and the first polymer.
