The invention is a device that is mounted at a handwashing station. The devicemakes use of opticalsensors and control logic to sense user presence and a user washing theirhands. The device thenguides users through a correct hand wash cycle. This guidance is implementedthrough the lightingup of artwork that is representative of different handwashing stages to allowthe user to followstepwise, as well as through a countdown timer, to indicate how long the usershould be spending indifferent stages. The device also serves as a data collection tool that whenconnected to a WIFInetwork will continually upload the data collected at adjustable intervals.The Data collectedincludes fields such as: Date & Time, Total Handwashing Time, Time SpentScrubbing.
