Disclosed are an emergency rescue device for stairs and an emergency rescue method using the same. The emergency rescue device for stairs comprises: a patient seating unit for seating a patient thereon a slide formed in a lower portion of the patient seating unit to move the patient seating unit in the stairs by using a belt and a brake for controlling the speed of the slide. The patient seating unit includes: a stand on which the patient lies or sits first and second frames for supporting the stand and handles for a patient which are formed on a portion of both ends of the stand to prevent the left and right movement of the patient, and function as a handle for the patient.
