PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative pressure therapy device and a control method thereof that can quickly adjust the inside pressure of a cover sheet that is in an excessive negative pressure state without giving unnecessary pain to a patient under treatment.SOLUTION: The negative pressure therapy device includes: a delivery means 1 for delivering fluid to the inside of a cover sheet S through a delivery flowpath 12 a suction means 2 for sucking the fluid from the inside of the cover sheet S through a suction flowpath 21 a container 3 for containing the fluid that is sucked by the suction means 2 a first pressure measuring means 4 for measuring the inside pressure of the cover sheet S a flowpath opening/closing means 5 for blocking an upstream flowpath 21a of the container 3 in the suction flowpath 21 and an opening/closing valve 6 for releasing a downstream flowpath 21b of the container 3 in the suction flowpath 21 to the atmosphere. Each of pressures inside the cover sheet S and in the container 3 is adjusted while blocking the flowpath 21a.
