A system for attaching a fluid access port 10 to a patient, comprises an access port 10 including a plurality of rotatable anchor assemblies, each anchor assembly 100 comprising a wire portion 124 and a moulded portion 128 secured to the wire portion 124, and a tool configured to facilitate attachment of the access port 10 to the patient. The wire portion 124 has a proximal portion and a distal portion. The distal portion includes a tip 126 structured to penetrate and engage tissue. The moulded portion 128 is moulded to the proximal portion of the wire portion 124, or the moulded portion 128 includes a pivot axle 132 having an axis substantially perpendicular to a plane of rotation of the wire portion 124, or the wire portion 124 is made of metal and the moulded portion 128 is made of plastic, or the moulded portion 128 includes an actuator pin and a deploy pin spaced apart from the actuator pin.
