The present invention relates to fruits of the genus Poncirus (Poncirus sp.) and the genus Gardenia (Gardenia sp.) exhibiting antibiotic activity. More particularly, the present invention relates to an antifungal composition comprising extracts of fruits of the genus Poncirus and the genus Gardenia, which exhibit antibiotic activity against super bacteria, such as anthracnose germs and antibiotic-resistant bacteria, as well as antibiotic activity against general photogenic bacteria. Since the composition exhibits excellent antibiotic activity against even anthracnose germs and antibiotic-resistant bacteria which have been known to have high fatality, the composition is very useful in the prevention or treatment of diseases associated with the anthracnose germs and antibiotic-resistant bacteria. Further, the composition is useful as sources for cosmetics or medical products.본 발명은 항균 활성을 나타내는 탱자나무 속(Poncirus sp.) 식물의 과실 및 치자 속(Gardenia sp.) 식물의 과실에 관한 것으로서, 보다 구체적으로 본 발명은 일반적인 병원성 세균에 대한 항균 활성뿐 아니라 탄저병균 및 항생제 내성균과 같은 슈퍼박테리아에 대해서도 항균 활성이 우수한 탱자나무 속 식물의 과실 및 치자 속 식물의 과실 추출물을 포함하는 항균용 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 조성물은 치사율이 높은 것으로 알려진 탄저균 및 항생제 내성균에서도 우수한 항균 활성을 나타내므로 이와 관련된 감염질환의 예방 또는 치료에 매우 유용하게 사용될 수 있는 효과가 있으며, 화장품 또는 의약품 원료로도 유용하게 사용할 수 있는 효과가 있다.
