The present invention a long term water quality degradation biological discharge fish tank, which includes: a tank with a top portion and a bottom portion, and a chamber defined by a peripheral wall, and an opening formed at the top portion. An organic material layer is disposed on the bottom portion of the tank and the tank is filled with organic liquid. An insect capturing unit is formed with an inner space which is in communication with the opening. An electrode assembly with an anode electrode disposed in the chamber of the tank and immersed in the organic liquid, and an electric connecting unit located outside the tank and electrically connected to the anode electrode and the cathode electrode.
