Spermidine or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof of the present invention reduces pulmonary inflammation incidence due to bleomycin administration； reduces a number of neutrophils which play the most important role in lung injury； reduces lung tissue damage； inhibits pulmonary fibrosis by collagen fiber accumulation； inhibits an amount of pulmonary collagen increased due to pulmonary fibrosis due to bleomycin； and suppresses the stress of endoplasmic reticulum and aging, thereby being usefully used for preventing or treating acute lung injury or pulmonary fibrosis.본 발명의 스퍼미딘(Spermidine) 또는 이의 약학적으로 허용가능한 염은 블레오마이신 투여로 인한 폐 염증 발생을 감소시키고, 폐손상에서 가장 중요한 역할을 하는 호중구의 수를 감소시키며, 폐조직 손상을 줄이고, 콜라겐 섬유 축적에 의한 폐섬유화를 억제하고, 블레오마이신으로 인한 폐섬유화로 인해 증가된 폐 콜라겐의 양을 억제하며, 소포체 스트레스, 노화를 억제하였는 바, 급성 폐손상 또는 폐섬유화증의 예방 또는 치료에 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.
