PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce or eliminate a load of covering bedding acting on a body on a bed, to prevent the turned-up covering bedding from restraining action or the like of a person, and to cause the covering bedding to adapt to or follow various postures of the person on the bed.SOLUTION: This bedding lifting device (1) includes: a movable base (31) supported in an upper region of covering bedding movably in a longitudinal direction of the upper bedding (H) front/rear, right/left or front/rear/right/left flexible wires (4) extending vertically downward from the movable base and suspending the covering bedding lifting drive devices (32, 33, 34) winding or delivering the flexible wires and tension application devices (35, 36) applying tension to the flexible wires.
