The machine i.e. rotary swather (1), has support arms (9) upwardly pivoted in a vertical position. The arms are inclined relative to a vertical at an acute angle to a side in a transport position, where the side lies opposite to an operating position side of rotary rakes (6). The rakes are controlled relative to the arms around a rotary tilting axis in a counter-rotating tilted position and the transport position such that the rakes with a rotary rake plane are bent at the acute angle to the arms and perpendicularly aligned. The plane is provided perpendicular to a rotary rotational axis.
