The stir insert includes a paddle portion (710) that oscillates or moves in a back-and-forth manner as the bottle is shaken or stirred. The paddle portion consists of a narrow portion that leads into a broader portion. The broad portion may include orifices to allow liquid to pass through the broader portion. The paddle is held to the body by its upper point by a support member, and may be removable from the support member. A drinking container and its components are further described (although, not claimed). A cap for the baby bottle includes a reservoir for storage of a dry powder formula. A clamp ring locking indicator for a container is described. The locking indicator indicates when the clamp ring is correctly engaged to the container. A clamp ring also threads and locks to the container with an approximately 180 degree turn. A system cup is described. A single container has different attachments for the period from newborn to childhood to allow a single cup to be used throughout that entire time period.
