Provided is an alarming device for determining water flow status, which has a main body defined therein with a flow channel passing through two ends of the main body. The flow channel is further provided with an opening toward one side of the main body, wherein a working chamber is formed at an intersection of the flow channel and the opening, and a power generating device is fixed in the working chamber. The power generating device is installed with a pivotally rotatable turbine blade and a light emitting element, in which the turbine blade is driven by water flow to generate electric power for being supplied to the light emitting element for illumination. In addition, the power generating device is provided with a drainage member having a slot chamber surrounded by an axle lid and a side wall. The drainage member masks the turbine blade in the slot chamber. A plurality of drainage holes are penetratingly arranged on the drainage member for allowing water to flow from the drainage holes into the slot chamber for driving the turbine blade.
