The invention relates to a device and method for sensing a heart rate to control and adjust the mood. Primarily, the heart rate is judged through a smart handheld unit combining with a heart rate sensor and sent to the smart handheld unit. Furthermore, a personal music database is built through APP software, and the mood can be controlled and adjusted through a music therapy.
