PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope capable of preventing failure of an imaging unit or disconnection of a light guide when attaching the imaging light and the light guide to a tip end, and an attaching method of an optical system in the endoscope.SOLUTION: A tip end 7 includes a body block 30A in which cable insertion paths 45 and 47 connected to an optical system housing section 42 and a treatment instrument insertion path 14 connected to a standing base housing section 22 are formed； and a moving block 30B which is detachably attached to the body block 30A and can slide in an axial direction of the body block 30A toward the tip end 7. The moving block 30B forms a part of an outer shell of the tip end 7, and is a frame body whose standing base housing section 22 side is opened.
