PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antimicrobial member utilizing sheaths of bamboo shoot most of which are conventionally left as they are or disposed as waste, by newly discovering that sheaths of bamboo shoot have antimicrobial effects, and further developing new applications.SOLUTION: The antimicrobial member utilizes sheaths of bamboo shoot to be disposed as waste or sheaths of bamboo shoot that exist around bamboos in a growing season.
