PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing brown algae by land culture which can achieve stable year-round production of the brown algae by growing from a planospore, and male and female gametophyte to an individual to be shipped, with a new method, is excellent in adjusting a standard, can use aquaculture effluent of other sea resources, and can effectively use a limited space.SOLUTION: The method for producing the brown algae by land culture includes: a step of producing a seed and seedling yarn 21 adhered with planospore/gametophyte by adhering the planospore 14, the male gametophyte 15, and the female gametophyte 16 released from a sporophyte 1 of the brown algae matured by a sterilized artificial sea water with predetermined low water temperature or the like on a seed and seedling substrate 2 and a growing step of growing the individual to be shipped until when the planospore 14, the male gametophyte 15 and the female gametophyte 16 and a young sporophyte 17 in the seed and seedling yarn 21 adhered with planospore/gametophyte to be grown to the individual 18 to be shipped by fixing the seed and seedling yarn 21 adhered with planospore/gametophyte to a culture tank 3 so as to be substantially perpendicular to flowing water, flowing the sea water, and optionally aerating.COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】 遊走子や雌雄配偶体から出荷対象個体までの育成を新しい手法で行うことにより、褐藻類を安定して周年生産することができ、かつ規格の調整にも優れるうえ、他の海洋資源の養殖廃水も活用することができ、限られたスペースを有効活用することができる陸上養殖褐藻類の生産方法を提供する。【解決手段】 所定の低水温の滅菌人工海水などで褐藻類の成熟した胞子体1から放出された遊走子14や雄性配偶体15、雌性配偶体16を種苗糸基質2に付着させて遊走子・配偶体付着種苗糸21を作製する工程と、遊走子・配偶体付着種苗糸21を流水に対して略垂直となるように養殖槽3に固定して海水を流水するととともに所望によりエアレーションをして遊走子・配偶体付着種苗糸21における遊走子14や雄性配偶体15、雌性配偶体16、幼胞子体17を出荷対象個体18に生長するまで育成する出荷対象個体育成工程とを有する。【選択図】 図1
