The present invention relates to a recombinant vaccinia virus in which the expression of several genes is inhibited and uses thereof. The recombinant vaccinia virus of the present invention selectively kills cancer cells and has excellent reproducibility in cancer cells. Viruses also have the advantage that they are less toxic to normal cells and are therefore safe for the human body.
