The modular unit operation comprises a modular frame comprising a transformation portion. A drive portion is joined to the drive side of the modular frame, wherein the drive portion is joined without belts and pulleys. The modular unit operations are preferably standardized, configurable, re-usable, re-configurable, and stackable.
