PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sulky transplanter capable of decreasing the upward and backward shift of the gravity center in housing by placing a specific transmission shaft between a frame material for connecting adjacent gear case groups with each other in transplanting posture and a swinging shaft for folding the mobile gear case group. SOLUTION: This sulky transplanter has a traveling machine body provided with a transplanting apparatus having plural gear cases having planting claw 12 and placed at the right and left sides of the apparatus. The gear cases are divided into a stationary gear case group 5 and mobile gear case groups 6, 7. The mobile gear case groups 6, 7 are made to be swingable backward and switchable between a transplanting posture and a housing posture. A frame material 4 for connecting the adjacent gear case groups with each other in the transplanting posture is attached to the front part of the gear case, a swinging shaft 8 for folding the mobile gear case groups 6, 7 is placed at the back of the gear case and transmission shafts 9, 10 for transmitting the power between adjacent gear case groups are placed between the frame material 4 and the swinging shaft 8.
