PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a health management device capable of successively measuring leg strength by using a standing wave radar, and a method of using the same.SOLUTION: A health management device using a standing wave radar includes: a standing wave detection section for detecting a standing wave formed by synthesizing a transmission wave and a receiving wave a calculation section for calculating changes in distance to a reflecting-target body and a phase from the intensity distribution of frequencies of the synthesized wave detected by the standing wave detection section a signal processing section for removing a distance component obtained in a case of a measuring space being unmanned from the obtained distance component to the reflecting-target body, and obtaining distance information different from the distance component obtained in the case of the measuring space being unmanned, thereby extracting the distance component to a measuring-target person present in the measuring space and a determination section for calculating leg strength of the measuring-target person from the change in the intensity distribution of the distance component between the device and the measuring-target person, and determining a health state on the basis of the change of the leg strength in a certain period of time.COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT【課題】定在波レーダを用いて、継時的に脚力を測定することのできる健康管理装置及びその利用方法を提供する。【解決手段】送信波及び受信波から合成される定在波を検知する定在波検知部と、当該定在波検知部が検知した合成波の周波数の強度分布から、前記被反射体までの距離及び位相の変化分を演算する演算部と、得られた被反射体までの距離成分から、測定空間が無人の場合に得られた距離成分を除去して、測定空間が無人の場合に得られた距離成分とは異なる距離情報を求めることにより、前記測定空間内に存在する測定対象者との距離成分を抽出する信号処理部と、測定対象者との間の距離成分の強度分布の変化から、測定対象者の脚力を算出し、一定期間での脚力の変化に基づき、健康状態を判定する判定部とを備える。【選択図】なし
