A suction device is disclosed that includes a base having a slot for inserting a single blister into the base containing a dose of the drug to be inhaled. The inhaler has a mouthpiece mounted to the base carrying a blister piercing element operable to pierce the blister received in the slot as the mouthpiece rotates relative to the base.
