In an embodiment, an agent for lightening keratin fibers includes, relative to the weight thereof, a) from about 0.01 to about 5 wt % ethyl cellulose, b) from about 5 to about 70 wt % oil component(s), c) from about 1 to about 70 wt % peroxydisulphate(s) from the group of sodium peroxydisulphate and/or potassium peroxydisulphate and/or ammonium peroxydisulphate.
