Methods are provided for reducing the incidence of health care-related infections in various health care settings. Methods of preventing or reducing the number of infections in a human or animal population are also provided. The methods provided herein reduce the presence of a variety of infectious agents that are generally acquired or propagated and present on both living and inanimate surfaces, including those infectious agents commonly found in health care settings.
