PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste treatment agent solidifying waste and also having antibacterial effect and deodorant effect, also, to provide a utilization method for the waste treatment agent.SOLUTION: Provided is a waste treatment agent comprising: an acrylic acid polymer sodium salt crosslinked product at a weight ratio of 60% or higher and calcium hydride at a weight ratio of 20% or higher and having a powdery shape. Also provided is a waste treatment method of storing the waste treatment agent into a waterproof bag body and using the same.
