This invention discloses a process of production of antiviral polysaccharides derived from extracellular culture filtrate of thraustaochytrids, belonging to the marine protistan group of Labyrinthulomycetes. The antiviral polysaccharide shows a broad-spectrum antiviral activity, being active against viruses such as the enterovirus, retrovirus, adenovirus and cytomegalovirus.Cette invention concerne un procédé de production de polysaccharides antiviraux issus dun filtrat de culture extracellulaire de thraustaochytrides, appartenant au groupe des protistes marins de Labyrinthulomycetes. Le polysaccharide antiviral présente une activité antivirale à large spectre, active contre des virus tels que des entérovirus, rétrovirus, adénovirus et cytomégalovirus.
