A vegetation rope which can be used in river embankment maintenance work to support a retaining wall, and to facilitate the greening of the embankment by easily sowing plant seeds, and a method of constructing a river embankment construction using the same. The vegetation rope of the present invention includes an outer cover rope, a core rope inserted in the cover rope, and a plant seed inserted between the cover rope and the core rope. The covering rope is preferably made of natural fiber or biodegradable chemical fiber, and the core rope is preferably made of coarse fiber. According to the present invention, seeding of plant seeds is easy, environmental pollution does not occur, and the structural tensile strength of the vegetation rope and the structural stability of the hull structure can be maintained for as long as necessary. Accordingly, it is possible to create a natural-friendly and structurally robust revetment structure.
