PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the effect of leakage currents superposed on signal lines on the occasion of reading from a radiation image detector, without being affected by irradiation hysteresis.
SOLUTION: Before starting reading, from each signal line, charges accumulated in the radiation image detector, a leakage amount per pixel is acquired from the initial leakage amount of a leakage current output from each signal line, and the number of pixels on each signal line existing inside irradiated-directly-by-radiation areas of the radiation image detector. Based on the leakage amount per pixel, a leakage amount of a leakage current from the pixels inside an irradiated-directly-by-radiation area B existing on the downstream side of each signal line out of the irradiated-directly-by-radiation areas at each signal line, is acquired, and by using this leakage amount, pixel values of pixels inside a subject area on the signal line are corrected.
