A composition of the present invention alleviates lesions of atopic dermatitis, alleviates itch and inhibits formation of tumor necrosis factor- (TNF-) and interleukin 6 (IL-6) which are inflammatory cytokines, and formation of prostaglandin E_2 (PGE_2) and nitric oxide (NO) which are inflammatory mediating factors. Accordingly, the composition is effective in preventing or treating atopic dermatitis by preventing progression of atopic dermatitis, thereby being effectively used for developing medicines for atopic dermatitis or developing health functional foods or cosmetics for atopic dermatitis patients.본 발명은 아토피성 피부염의 병변을 개선시키고 가려움증을 완화시키며, 염증성 사이토카인인 TNF-α(tumor necrosis factor-α) 및 IL-6(interleukin 6)와 염증 매개인자인 PGE2(prostaglandin E2) 및 NO(nitric oxide)의 생성을 억제한다. 따라서, 본 발명은 아토피 피부염의 진행을 막아 아토피 피부염의 예방 또는 치료 효과가 있으므로 아토피 피부염 치료제 개발 또는 아토피 환자를 위한 건강기능식품 또는 화장품 개발에 효과적으로 이용될 수 있다.
