PURPOSE: A chest image diagnosis system based on image matching and a method thereof are provided to supply structural and functional information of a lung by converting and synthesizing future and past images based on an MDCT image which provides shape information of the lung through a lung disease determination technology. CONSTITUTION: A chest image obtaining unit(110) photographs a chest to obtain a chest image. A preprocessing unit(120) preprocesses the chest image. An image matching unit(130) matches a current image with a past image through voxel matching, local matching, and global matching for the preprocessed chest image. An image coordinating unit(140) generates a coordination image through the image transformation of the matched current image and the past image. A subtraction processing unit(150) clearly processes an abnormal part of the coordination image through time difference subtraction.
