The present invention relates to an air purifier. The air purifier can suck the maximum amount of air when the size of a body cover (12) is considered as the body cover (12) can be installed to have an area which fully covers an insertion fan (70). In addition, a filter container (32) can be installed in a large area except a space between a vertical plate (52) and the body cover. Therefore, the air purifier can purify a large amount of air at once as an area of a filter (40) through which air can pass is large. It is preferred that insertion and discharge of air are performed in an upper portion of an air purifier in an aspect of minimization of an installation area. According to the present invention, insertion and discharge of air can be performed in an upper portion of the air purifier even when the filter container (32) and a water storage tank (20) are compactly installed in a limited small area in a purifier body (10).
