PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a time of aeration which conventionally requires a long period of time in sterilization work in an isolator.SOLUTION: The isolator is provided with: a work chamber that has an opening on the front surface and performs work with a cell as a subject a resin transparent plate member that is mounted to the work chamber in a manner so as to occlude the opening, and allows to see the inside of the work chamber and a work chamber sterilization device that supplies hydrogen peroxide gas into the work chamber to sterilize the interior of the work chamber, and then discharges the hydrogen peroxide gas in the work chamber.
