The present invention relates to an inspection apparatus and method using a terahertz electromagnetic wave. In particular, the present invention relates to an inspection apparatus and method which increase the transmissivity of a terahertz wave by controlling temperature in a chamber which receives a test object and obtain a clearer image. According to the present invention, the terahertz wave is emitted to the test object when the inner part of the chamber is kept with appropriate temperature to maintain the transmissivity of the terahertz wave with regard to the test object with high appropriate temperature, thereby improving the clearance of a terahertz wave inspection image and effectively inspecting the inner prat of a tissue cell in depth.본 발명은 테라헤르츠 전자기파를 이용한 검사 장치 및 검사 방법에 관한 것으로, 특히 피검사체가 수용되는 챔버 내의 온도를 조절하여 테라헤르츠파의 투과율을 높임으로써 더 선명한 영상을 얻을 수 있는 검사 장치 및 검사 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따르면, 피검사체가 테라헤르츠파의 투과율이 높은 적정 온도로 유지되도록 처리실 내를 적정 온도로 조절한 상태에서 피검사체에 테라헤르츠파를 조사하여 테라헤르츠파 검사 영상의 선명도를 향상시킬 수 있고, 조직 세포 내부의 깊은 곳까지 효과적으로 검사할 수 있다.
