A fluid removal system is configured to remove fluid from a confined space.The fluidremoval system includes an operative sub-system that is configured to operateaccording to an operative cycle. The operative sub-system is configured tooutput anactivation signal during the operative cycle. An actuator is operativelycoupled to theoperative sub-system and moveably connected to a fluid removal conduit. Thefluidremoval conduit is closed when the actuator is in a closed position, andopened whenthe actuator is in an open position. The actuator moves into the open positioninresponse to the operative sub-system outputting the activation signal. Fluidwithin theconfined space is drawn into the fluid removal conduit when the actuator is inthe openposition and exhausted through an exhaust port.
