PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a New Guinea impatiens plant which is hearty, retaining low-temperature tolerance and high-temperature tolerance, and having superior flowering behavior and flower sustainability. SOLUTION: The New Guinea impatiens plant is produced by mating an interspecific hybrid between a plant Impatiens hawkeri and a plant Impatiens platypetala as a male parent, with an interspecific hybrid between a plant Impatiens hawkeri and a plant Impatiens platypetala aurantiaca as a female parent, and a progeny or a part thereof is also provided.
