A smoke inhalation device comprising: a housing； a cartridge configured to contain a substance； a release device associated with the cartridge； a sensor configured to detect an airstream passing through the housing； and a controller operatively and communicatively coupled to the release device and the sensor, the controller being configured to control the release device based on received data from the sensor.
