The invention relates to an intervertebral-disc prosthesis, which comprises first and second plates (3, 4) to be attached onto the vertebrae adjacent to the intervertebral disc to be replaced, and a compression pad arranged between the plates. Each plate comprises first hooking means comprising two hooking portions (14a, 14b) symmetrically arranged on either side of the anteroposterior median plane of said plate, second hooking means comprising two hooking portions (15a, 15b) arranged symmetrically on either side of a first plane that is inclined at an angle of between 50º and 70º relative to the anteroposterior median plane of said plate, and third hooking means opposite the second hooking means relative to the anteroposterior median plane and comprising two hooking portions (16a, 16b) symmetrically arranged on either side of a second plane inclined at an angle of around 90º relative to the anteroposterior median plane of said plate.Cette prothèse de disque intervertébral comporte des premier et second plateaux (3, 4) destinés à être fixés sur les vertèbres adjacentes au disque intervertébral à remplacer, et un coussin de compression disposé entre les plateaux.
