The present disclosure relates to methods for treating type 1 diabetes (T1D) using glucagon receptor blockers. More specifically, the present disclosure is specific to methods for treating T1D using fairly low doses of insulin supplementation, or antigen binding antagonist proteins such as human glucagon receptor even in the absence of insulin supplementation. Relates to a method for treating T1D using fully human antibodies that bind to and weaken its function.
