The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition containing a carrot leaf extract and a production method thereof. The cosmetic composition of the present invention comprises, based on the dry weight, 0.01 to 5.0 wt% of a carrot leaf extract extracted with at least one solvent selected from the group consisting of methanol, ethanol, glycerin, ethyl acetate, butylene glycol, propylene glycol, dichloromethane, hexane, and supercritical carbon dioxide.
