The subject matter of the present invention relates to a device for applying and protecting pre-filled prostheses that has a single-body applicator device manufactured from an inert, strong, flexible and non-elastic plastic material. Said applicator and protector device comprises various functional and contiguous parts, these being a large inlet opening (1) located between securing tabs (2), a receiving chamber (3), a receptacle extender portion (4), a receptacle (5), an applicator and anchoring nozzle (6) and a small outlet orifice (7). The purpose thereof is to prevent excessive chafing or even simple contact between the prosthesis and the patient's skin or any object in contact therewith, preventing various forms of contamination of the prosthesis and the consequences thereof, such as infections, scar dehiscence, chronic pain, seromas, contractures, prosthesis extrusion, skin necrosis, etc. Further purposes thereof are to facilitate the insertion of the prostheses through very small incisions, reducing the chance of contamination by contiguity and the size of the final scar, to reduce surgery time, improving recovery from anaesthesia and cicatrization of the surgical wound, thus enhancing the safety of the procedure and patient satisfaction.La présente invention concerne un applicateur et protecteur de prothèses pré-remplies, consistant en un applicateur à corps unique fabriqué en matériau plastique, inerte, résistant, souple et non élastique.
