PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fundus imaging apparatus capable of acquiring a clear fundus image.SOLUTION: The apparatus includes an imaging optical system for receiving a luminous flux reflected against the fundus of an eye to be examined, and has a fundus imaging means and an image processing section. The fundus imaging means acquires the fundus image data of a plurality of frames having a deviation less than one pixel, by using the fixation nystagmus of the eye of the subject to be examined which occurs while the fundus image data of each frame are acquired. The image processing section acquires a high resolution image which has higher resolution than that of the image data at the time of acquisition, by performing composite processing of a plurality of fundus image data acquired through the fundus imaging optical system.
