The present invention provides a peptide having skin whitening activity. It suppresses the melanin production of the present invention, suppresses the activity of tyrosinase, suppresses the expression of factors associated with melanin formation, and suppresses melanosome movement, thereby exhibiting an excellent effect on skin whitening. Since the peptide of the present invention is small, the skin permeability is very excellent. The excellent activity and stability of the peptides of the present invention described above can be applied very advantageously to cosmetics.
