PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary tiller having a rear cover which covers the rear of a plurality of tilling tines attached to a tilling shaft and a soil adhesion preventive plate disposed in a part on the inner surface of the rear cover, and allowing the soil adhesion preventive plate to be easily attached to the rear cover without increasing the number of components.SOLUTION: The rotary tiller includes a plurality of tilling tines 22 attached to the rotatably journaled tilling shaft 21, and the rear cover 24 which covers at least the rear of the plurality of tilling tines 22. The soil adhesion preventive plate 48 is disposed in a part of the inner surface, the surface on the tilling tines 22 side, of the rear cover 24.
