PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bar soap composition which has good foamability and a creamy foam quality, and in which gentle feeling after use is excellent, and faults on appearances such as a crack, stickiness or sweating hardly generate.SOLUTION: The bar soap composition includes the following (a), (b), (c), and (d), wherein the sum total of (a)+(b)+(c)+(d) is 100 mass%. (a) 0.01-15 mass% of an arginine derivative shown by Formula (1), (b) 30-99 mass% of a fatty acid salt, (c) 0.1-50 mass% of one or more sorts of polyhydric alcohols chosen from glycerol, sucrose, sorbitol or glycosyl trehalose, and (d) water.
