Said abutment (1) has at the top a support region intended for receiving a prosthetic buildup construction and at the bottom an implant contact region intended for insertion into a receiving hole of an implant, whereby the abutment (1) has between the support region and the implant contact region a soft tissue contact surface (11). Said soft tissue contact surface (11) is at least partially hydroxylated or silanated.
