According to one example of the present invention, an antisense oligonucleotide for inhibiting the expression of glial cell-specific 4-aminobutyrate aminotransferase (ABAT) is provided. The antisense oligonucleotide is represented by any one of sequence numbers 1 to 3 and is characterized by binding in a complementary fashion to an mRNA of a gene encoding glial cell-specific ABAT. The antisense oligonucleotide of the present invention and an expression vector comprising the same can induce GABA formation in glial cells by inhibiting the expression of ABAT which breaks down GABA.본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 교세포(glial cell) 특이적 ABAT(4-aminobutyrate aminotransferase)의 발현을 억제하는, 안티센스 올리고뉴클레오티드가 제공된다.
