An apparatus for securing at least part of a medical device such as a catheter to a location, said apparatus including a substantially flexible layer or sheet having an adhesive lower surface and an upper surface, a retainer member attached to the upper surface of the substantially flexible layer, said retainer member comprising upper and lower body portions movable between an open condition and a closed condition. Said body portions define at least one channel or conduit within which at least part of a catheter medical device is secured when in the closed condition and the adhesive lower layer includes silicone adhesive.
