The present disclosure relates to a method and apparatus for automatically generating psychological counseling text to a user by acquiring a learning model by machine learning psychological counseling data of a professional counselor and applying a machine learning model to text written by the user. The automatic conversation method of machine learning psychological counseling data includes receiving texts related to psychoanalysis among counselor and user conversation texts, preprocessing the received texts for machine learning, obtaining a data set, and attention mechanisms. The method may include acquiring a machine learning model by machine learning the data set using a hierarchical encoder-decoder with attention mechanism. The received text includes a first text that includes the text of the conversation between the counselor and the user and a second text that is the response text of the expert counselor immediately after the first text.
